Meeting of Ukrainian negotiating delegation with US representatives scheduled for evening in Davos - source
The Ukrainian negotiating delegation will hold talks with US representatives in Davos on Wednesday evening, January 21, an informed source told Interfax-Ukraine.
"It is planned for the evening," the agency’s interlocutor said.
The head of the Ukrainian delegation in negotiations with the US, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) Rustem Umerov, Head of the Presidential Office Kyrylo Budanov, and Head of the Servant of the People parliamentary faction David Arakhamia are in Davos, where they have already held a number of meetings.
On January 20, Rustem Umerov wrote on social networks that together with David Arakhamia he had held a meeting with the national security advisers of France, Germany, and the United Kingdom. The parties "synchronized approaches to security guarantees and further diplomatic work."
The NSDC Secretary announced the next meetings with partners on security guarantees, economic development, and the restoration of Ukraine.
On January 18, Rustem Umerov announced that consultations were being held in the United States with American representatives (Stephen Witkoff, Jared Kushner, US Army Secretary Daniel Driscoll, and White House staffer Josh Gruenbaum). The parties discussed economic development and the prosperity plan, as well as security guarantees for Ukraine - with a focus on practical mechanisms for their implementation and realization.
According to Umerov, they agreed to continue work at the team level during the next stage of consultations in Davos.
As reported, the 56th World Economic Forum (January 19–23, 2026) has begun in Davos, Switzerland.
US President Donald Trump is expected to attend.
