The OSCE Parliamentary Assembly (PA) Committee on Democracy, Human Rights and Humanitarian Affairs on Monday supported the draft resolution "Continuing Violations of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the City of Sevastopol (Ukraine)," Petro Poroshenko Bloc member, chairman of Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people Refat Chubarov has said.
"The Committee on Democracy, Human Rights and Humanitarian Questions has just supported the draft resolution of the OSCE PA referred to continuing violations of human rights and fundamental freedoms in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol (Ukraine), presented by the Ukrainian delegation," Chubarov wrote on Facebook.
Chubarov added that 35 Committee members had supported that document, with nine having voted against and seven abstained.
"The road to the adoption of the resolution at the OSCE PA plenary meeting, which will be held the day after tomorrow, is open," he said.
