Bill on Anti-Corruption Court can be improved after first reading - Poroshenko
Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has assured international partners that the process on the creation of the Anti-Corruption Court in Ukraine will be launched in 2018.
"I know that your focus is on the Anti-Corruption Court. This year we will launch the establishment of the court, and my bill is under consideration in the Rada. For the sake of its successful adoption, I invite all to work constructively within democratic parliamentary procedures," he said at a meeting with the heads of diplomatic missions of foreign countries and international organizations accredited in Ukraine in Kyiv on Tuesday, January 16.
According to Poroshenko, the Anti-Corruption Court will be the last and decisive element of a new anti-corruption architecture in Ukraine.
"Right after the first reading, there will be time to improve the draft in order to make this institution work as effectively as possible," Poroshenko added.
