NSDC Secretary sees no reason to delay delivery of lethal defensive weapons to Ukraine
Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleksandr Turchynov sees no reason to delay the delivery of lethal weapons to Ukraine by strategic partners.
"The U.S. has already made such a decision several times, but we cannot turn from the decision-making to the delivery. But I hope that this will happen. This is crucially for us from the point of view of politics as well, because it is the fulfillment of our obligations to ensure our security and independence and I am convinced that today there are no grounds and explanations why our strategic partners are dragging out the issue of military-technical cooperation, supplies and production of modern lethal weapons," Turchynov told reporters in Kyiv on Friday.
He also noted that military-technical cooperation, including the supply of lethal weapons, is not removed from the agenda.
