Ukrainian defense minister hopes to receive air defense, anti-tank systems from West
Kyiv is counting on the delivery of defensive armaments, primarily air defense and anti-tank systems from Western countries, Ukrainian Defense Minister Stepan Poltorak said.
"Of course, a time will come when we supply the Ukrainian army with modern weapons unaided. However, at the present time, Western partners' support is of paramount importance. This is a question of solely defensive weapons, first and foremost, air defense and anti-tank systems we are very much in need of. We are ready to receive them and promptly teach our troops to use them correctly and efficiently," Poltorak said in an interview with the Narodna Armiya (The People's Army) publication.
