Poroshenko announces talks with EU leadership on Association Agreement, visa free regime
President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko on Friday will hold telephone talks with leaders of the European Union on the situation with the Ukraine-EU Association Agreement and the visa-free regime for Ukrainian citizens.
"Today is a very important day, we are expecting very serious and difficult negotiations with our Dutch partners in connection with the political crisis that exists, and ratification of the Association Agreement," the president said, representing the new head of the Kyiv Regional State Administration on Friday.
In this regard, he said, in the near future a telephone conversation with President of the European Council Donald Tusk, European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker and President of the European Parliament Martin Schulz will be held.
According to Poroshenko, the issue on the prospects of visa-free regime for Ukrainians will be also discussed during the talks.
