Russia will stop at nothing to avoid sentencing of Yerofeyev and Alexandrov in Ukraine
Russia will do everything possible to ensure that Russian military servicemen Yevgeny Yerofeyev and Alexander Alexandrov are not sentenced by the Ukrainian court, Deputy Prosecutor General, Ukraine's Chief Military Prosecutor Anatoliy Matios has said.
A verdict of the Ukrainian court would serve as an evidence of Russia's aggressive war against Ukraine, Matios said at a briefing in Kyiv on Friday.
He noted that the verdict would also serve as grounds to appeal to international institutions with respect to specific individuals.
Regarding this Matios recalled the case of Radovan Karadzic, former Bosnian Serb leader, who was brought to justice for exactly war crimes committed on the territory of his country in 21 years since the war ended there.
