Number of people injured in blast in central Moscow rises to five
The total number of people injured as a result of a recent explosion at a bus stop on Pokrovka Street in the center of Moscow has risen to five, of whom three are being treated at hospitals, a spokesman for the city's healthcare department told Interfax on Tuesday.
"There has been one belated request [for medical care] following yesterday's explosion - the injured person has been admitted to City Hospital No. 36," the spokesman said.
One of the three injured people admitted to the Sklifosovsky Emergency Medicine Institute has already been discharged, meaning that two injured persons are still being treated at this clinic, he said.
Another person injured in the blast received medical care at the scene and refused to be taken to hospital, the spokesman said.
According to earlier reports, four people were injured when an explosive device blew up at a bus stop on Pokrovka Street late on Monday.
