Tuesday's meeting of political subgroup on Donbas ends without result - Ukraine's envoy

Another meeting of the subgroup on political matters of the Trilateral Contact Group for settling the conflict in Donbas, which was arranged in Minsk on Tuesday, has ended without producing any result, Ukraine's envoy to the subgroup Roman Bezsmertny said.

"The negotiations have ended without a result, that is, the parties have remained on their positions," Bezsmertny told Interfax on Tuesday.

The discussion dealt with the same issues that had been addressed before, Bezsmertny said. In addition, the participants listened to a report by OSCE Representative on Freedom of the Media Dunja Mijatovic on Tuesday.

The subgroup's next meeting is to be held in about a week, possibly next Monday, Bezsmertny said.
