Klitschko leading in Kyiv mayoral election, followed by Bereza with 25% of protocols processed

Incumbent Kyiv mayor Vitali Klitschko has received 39.7% of the vote in the Kyiv mayoral election, which took place on October 25, while MP Borislav Bereza, leader of the Rishuchi Hromadiany (Resolute Citizens) Party received 10.4% of the vote, after about 25% of polling station protocols submitted by 31 out of the 120 election districts were processed.

This was announced by Kyiv City Territorial Election Commission after it processed protocols from the district election commissions in Pechersky, Holosiyivsky, and Desniansky districts.

Leader of the Yednist Party, former Kyiv mayor Oleksandr Omelchenko (1999-2006) secured 8.95% of the vote, Serhiy Husovsky, leader of Samopomich in the Kyiv City Council and restaurateur received 7.6%, while Batkivschyna Party candidate Volodymyr Bondarenko received 7.02%.

The Kyiv mayoral election involved 120 election districts. Kyiv City Territorial Election Commission has only received original polling protocols from Pechersky (5 election districts), Holosiyivsky (10), and Desniansky (16) municipal districts.
