Ukrainian army ready to redeploy withdrawn weapons for deterring possible attack
The Ukrainian Armed Forces are ready to deter a possible attack of the militia and to rapidly redeploy the withdrawn armaments to their former positions, Ukrainian Presidential Administration spokesman Andriy Lysenko has said.
"Although we are withdrawing armored hardware, including tanks, cannons and mortars from the contact line, we are still armed with anti-tank weapons - anti-tank guided missiles and other armaments. So, we will be able to deter a possible attack for some time. Weapons are being withdrawn to distances of at least 15 kilometers but they can be rapidly redeployed to their former positions for repelling a hostile attack," he said at a press briefing in Kyiv on Sunday.
