Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko and heads of member states of the joint group investigating the Malaysia Airlines MH17 flight crash have met in New York to agree to working together to punish the culprits behind the crash.

"The heads of delegations of member states of the joint group investigating the MH17 flight crash expressed their disappointed with the Russian veto on the UN Security Council's vote for the resolution setting up a crash investigation tribunal held on July 29," the Ukrainian president's press service said in a report.

The Netherlands said the outcomes of the independent international inquiry would be presented on October 13.
