Tymoshenko accusing govt of illegal use of 3.1 bcm of gas
Batkivschyna faction leader Yulia Tymoshenko has sent a claim to Public Prosecutor's Office of Ukraine accusing the government of the illegal use of 3.1 billion cubic meters (bcm) of gas, she told reporters in Kyiv on Wednesday.
"I claim that the government which approves the balance of distribution of natural gas for 2015 violated the law on principles of functioning of the natural gas market, Article 10 of the law and it did not give at least 3.1 bcm of gas to households. The question: where did gas go? There is the answer: it is in the application about the crime that is being sent to Public Prosecutor's Office. Instead of giving 3.1 bcm of gas to people, it was given to commercial structures affiliated with the government, of course, on the corruption basis," she said.
Tymoshenko said that these actions of the government resulted in the unjustifiable increase of gas tariffs for households.
