Yatseniuk announces start of public reporting by state treasury on Sept 15
Public reports by the State Treasury Service will start from September 15 and in 2016 the Open Budget project will be launched, Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk has said.
"From September 15, the Ukrainian government is introducing public reports of the State Treasury Service for each kopeck spent from the national budget," he said on television late on Sunday.
Yatseniuk said that the Open Budget will allow every Ukrainian citizen to receive information on who paid taxes and how much, and on how every kopeck from the budget was spent, from both the national and local budgets.
