Cabinet proposes that parliament revokes registration of VAT payers in ATO zone
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has proposed that the Ukrainian parliament revokes the registration of value added tax (VAT) payers in the Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO) zone, and the relevant draft law was approved at a cabinet meeting on Wednesday, Deputy Finance Minister Ihor Umansky has said.
"Yes, we've approved [the draft law]," he told reporters after the meeting.
He said that the amendments give tax agencies the right to revoke the registration of the certificates of VAT payers who remain in the ATO zone and were not re-registered in Ukraine-controlled territory.
Previously, the Finance Ministry of Ukraine proposed that the registration of VAT payers would be revoked in the temporarily occupied territory for the duration of the ATO.
