OSCE observes series of explosions in Donetsk airport against Donbas truce backdrop
Monitors have observed explosions in the area of the devastated Donetsk airport, OSCE Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine (SMM) Deputy Chief Monitor Alexander Hug has said.
The OSCE does not confirm a complete ceasefire in the period since the beginning of the new school year, Hug said.
In his words, the monitors have heard over 30 explosions in the Donetsk airport area but do not know what kind of explosions those were and which side was behind them.
Hug said at the same time that the situation in the conflict zone was much calmer than before. He said he hoped that the conflicting sides could stick to the truce agreement.
