Fedorov announcs 'revolutionary project' for controlling drones Mission control

Ukraine will soon launch a Mission Control project, in which each crew will enter the type of UAV, its flight direction, location, etc. into the system, Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov has said, calling the project "revolutionary."

"Thanks to eBalam, we fully understand what is happening with drones. We will soon launch a revolutionary Mission Control project: each crew will enter the type of UAV into the system, where it is flying, from what location, etc.," Fedorov said during a meeting with journalists.

According to him, this will allow us to better understand the situation on the front line (FC) and the effectiveness of drone use.

"Thanks to Mission Control, we will close the entire drone cycle: procurement, deliveries, and then use on the battlefield. Currently, we only see reports on task performance through eBalam, while it is important for us to have a complete picture — with results and accumulated experience," the minister explained.

Fedorov also noted that his team has been working on the Mission Control functionality for two years. The next step, the minister noted, is the launch of Mission Control for artillery.

"It is very important that we have started to systematically calculate everything. Soon we will have complete information on drone crews: leaders, their monthly ratings, statistics of the entire corps. We need to see the whole picture in order to simplify and speed up the adoption of management decisions. We have a department of war mathematics, created back in Brave1," Fedorov said.

As reported, the Verkhovna Rada appointed Fedorov as Minister of Defense on January 14. The day before, the people's deputies dismissed him from the post of First Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Digital Transformation at his request.
