NATO, Ukraine agree to set up new demining trust fund
NATO is planning to increase its practical assistance to Ukraine.
"And we also agreed in principle to establish a new trust fund. We are now working on the details. But this new trust fund will aim at demining and also on countering improvised explosive devises. And this is vital for saving lives," NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg at a press conference in Brussels following a meeting of the NATO-Ukraine Commission.
He did not give any other details.
At the same time, Stoltenberg noted that many NATO countries support Ukraine at the bilateral level as well.
