UNICEF transfers 14 generators, high-power generator complexes to Donetsk region – authorities
The United Nations Children’s Fund, UNICEF, has transferred 14 generators and high-power generator complexes (from 100 to 630 kW) to water supply enterprises in Donetsk region, said the head of the regional military administration, Vadym Filashkin.
"Soon, our specialists will begin installing the equipment. We plan to finish the installation by the end of January. Additionally, we will install eight backup power systems. In the current conditions, this is an effective way to ensure an uninterrupted water supply for communities, hospitals, and families in Donetsk region. The total cost of this batch of aid is approximately $500,000. UNICEF remains one of our key partners in restoring the region's water supply," he wrote on Telegram.
Filashkin thanked UNICEF for its trust, support, and solidarity with Donetsk region.
