Shkiriak tenders resignation as Ukraine's emergencies chief
The acting head of Ukraine's State Emergency Services Service, Zorian Shkiriak, has announced that he filed a letter of resignation.
"My stint was temporary, I think my mission is complete at this stage … I want to say that I have asked Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk to dismiss me from the post of the acting head of Ukraine's State Emergency Situations Service," he said at a briefing in Kyiv on Tuesday.
