Poroshenko rules out change of division line in Donbas
Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has ruled out a change of the division line in Donbas agreed upon in Minsk on September 19, 2014.
"Yesterday's meeting in the NSDC [National Security and Defense Council] did not address the status, the status was determined a long time ago, and not the borders, because the engagement line was determined back on September 19 and it, according to the Minsk agreements, established a special local self-governance procedure in some areas," the president said in an interview with 1+1 television on Friday evening.
Poroshenko said the borders determining the engagement line was established on September 19, 2014.
"On February 12, we clearly defended the September 19 line and clearly insisted that the line cannot be changed," Poroshenko said.
