Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has withdrawn eight Ukrainian modern helicopters from the United Nations' humanitarian mission in order to send them to the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) area in Donbas, presidential spokesman Sviatoslav Tseholko told Interfax-Ukraine.
"During the ceremony of awarding soldiers who took part in hostilities in Ukraine's east, the president said that he withdrew eight modern helicopters from the area of the UN humanitarian mission to dispatch them later to the ATO zone," Tseholko said on Wednesday night.
According to him, these helicopters are already in Ukraine.
