Rada cannot cancel Constitutional Court ruling of 2010, says Regions Party MP
The Verkhovna Rada does not have the authority to cancel the ruling of the Constitutional Court of 2010, the Ukrainian president's representative in the parliament, Deputy of the Party of Regions faction Yuriy Miroshnychenko said.
"The ruling of the Constitutional Court concerned the law on amending the Constitution, which was passed by the Verkhovna Rada with procedural violations and, thus, was recognized as not complying with the Constitution. The law on the Constitutional Court stipulates removing these standards from the legislative field of Ukraine. Thus, the rulings of the Constitutional Court cannot be cancelled, this is stipulated in the very law on the Constitutional Court and Verkhovna Rada cannot interfere in the activities of the Constitutional Court," Miroshnychenko said.
