EU diplomacy head, IMF chief to discuss to financial assistance to Ukraine
EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice President of the European Commission Catherine Ashton intends to discuss the situation in Ukraine with Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund Christine Lagarde in Washington on Tuesday.
She announced this in Brussels on Tuesday during a meeting of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the European Parliament.
When telling MEPs about the provision of financial assistance to Ukraine, subject to necessary reforms, Ashton said that she would be in Washington on Thursday, where she would meet with Lagarde and discuss Ukraine, among other subjects.
