Protesters build barricades near Ukrainian govt building in Kyiv

Protesters are blocking Hrushevsky Street near the Cabinet of Ministers building in Kyiv.

Opposition activists, among whom there are many Svoboda Party activists, currently block the roadway with materials at hand, an Interfax-Ukraine correspondent reported.

Protesters intend to bring barrels to the barricades in order to get warm because, according to Member of Parliament Ihor Shvaika from the Svoboda parliamentarian faction, they "had come here for long."

The rally is peaceful, Shvaika said.
