Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych has replaced a number of the heads of the regional offices of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) and the SBU's main office in Crimea.
In particular, the head of state dismissed the heads of SBU offices in Ternopil and Zaporizhia regions, Yuriy Havryliuk and Serhiy Rudy.
Yanukovych appointed Volodymyr Markevych as chief of the SBU office in Ternopil region and Oleksandr Kuznetsov as chief of the SBU office in Zaporizhia region.
He also appointed Hennadiy Kalachov as head of the SBU office in Crimea.
Decrees to that effect were published on Wednesday.
