Ukraine to celebrate 75th birthday of politician Viacheslav Chornovil

Ukraine will celebrate the 75th birthday of Ukrainian Hero Viacheslav Chornovil on December 24.

According to the order of the Cabinet of Ministers as of December 5, 2012 No. 1011, ad hoc organization committee approved the plan of events on preparation and celebration of the 75th birthday of Viacheslav Chornovil.

As the order reads, literature evenings, scientific conferences, seminars, contests of art and scientific works, exhibits of documents and materials devoted to Chornovil's life and work will be conducted in Ukraine. Thematic programs will be broadcast on TV channels.

The order also foresees maintenance and restoration works in the premises of the museum along 33-A Honchara Street in Kyiv. In addition, a building of the Chornovil memorial museum in Cherkasy region, and installation of the memorial board in Kyiv at 33 Honchara Street, where Chornovil worked, will be finished.
