President orders prosecutor general, interior minister to investigate beating of journalist Chornovil

Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych has instructed Interior Minister Vitaliy Zakharchenko and Prosecutor General Viktor Pshonka to take all of the necessary measures to investigate the beating of journalist Tetiana Chornovil.

"The Ukrainian president harshly condemned this violence and said that law enforcers must solve this crime and bring to justice those who are to blame for that," the presidential press service reported on Wednesday.

As reported, unidentified individuals beat up Chornovil in the early hours of Wednesday. Police have already launched criminal proceedings.
