Bad weather causes blackout at Luhansk children's hospital intensive care unit
Luhansk-based First Children's City Hospital, which has a child connected to a lung ventilator in the intensive care unit, was left without electricity as a result of bad weather.
The press service of the Emergencies Ministry of Ukraine reported on Tuesday morning that nine minutes after the blackout the ministry's employees powered the lung ventilator with a power generator.
At 2010 the power crew restored electricity supply at the hospital. However, the ministry did not say whether the switching off of the lung ventilator had affected the condition of the child.
