Azarov proud of pace of reconstruction work in Kyiv
Reconstruction work in Kyiv is being conducted at a record pace, Prime Minister Mykola Azarov has said.
"Reconstruction work in Kyiv is being conducted at a pace that has never been seen before... Among our plans are a lot of different objects that could turn our capital into a beautiful European city," he told journalists in Kyiv on Wednesday.
At the same time, Azarov noted that any slowdown in the pace of reconstruction work depends on the residents of Kyiv.
"The elections are coming. This will help residents of Kyiv to assess whether they want this work. Perhaps they don't? Perhaps, [Head of Kyiv City State Administration] Oleksandr Pavlovych [Popov] and I are doing this in vain? We will ask residents of Kyiv in the elections about this. Our further work will depend on what they say in the elections," Azarov said.
