Kyiv residents declared more than 1,300 firearms and nearly 430,000 rounds of ammunition, Kyiv police press service reported.
"Kyiv residents declared 1,346 firearms and nearly 430,000 rounds of ammunition," Kyiv police said in a Telegram post on Monday.
It is noted that the civilian weapons declaration campaign in Ukraine allows residents who possess or find firearms or ammunition without permission to declare them and obtain the right to legal ownership.
All residents of the capital received the appropriate permits within a few hours and can now legally store weapons.
