Romanian President Nicos Dan plans to visit Kyiv in the fall at the invitation of his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelensky.
"I accepted President @ZelenskyyUA invitation to pay a visit to Kyiv this autumn," he said on X.
He also stressed the need for lasting peace in Ukraine and an end to Russia's daily shelling.
In addition, he noted that Romania also supports US President Donald Trump's efforts to establish a ceasefire, and peace should be achieved at the negotiating table with Ukraine.
"Romania supports the efforts of President Trump to reach a solution. An agreement must be just, long-lasting and sustainable. Peace must be reached with Ukraine at the negotiation table," Dan wrote.
According to Dan, Ukraine's security is closely linked to the security of the Black Sea and the security of Europe.
