Shmyhal discusses cooperation with Al Hashimy in development of port infrastructure, agricultural sector
Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal met with the Minister of State for International Cooperation of the United Arab Emirates, Reem Al Hashimy, on the sidelines of the UN Conference. Shmyhal reported on the negotiations on his Telegram channel on Monday.
The parties discussed the implementation of the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) and agreed to hold a meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission in a short time to accelerate economic cooperation.
"The UAE is interested in concession projects in port infrastructure and in the agricultural sector. I proposed joint implementation of initiatives in the field of irrigation, which will significantly increase the productivity of agricultural lands in Ukraine," Shmyhal wrote on Telegram.
The development of partnership in the fields of space and IT was also discussed.
Separately, the Prime Minister thanked the United Arab Emirates for its active role in the release of Ukrainian prisoners of war.
