Decision on providing Ukraine with Taurus missiles could seriously affect situation on battlefield – Sybiha

Тo strengthen Ukraine's capabilities on the battlefield, all restrictions on the use of long-range weapons should be lifted, and Taurus cruise missiles are one of the elements that can significantly affect the situation on the battlefield, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha said in an interview with Germany's ARD.

The minister emphasized that the Peace through Strength formula is at the heart of Ukrainian diplomacy. He also noted that rapid arms deliveries are meant to deter Russia and halt its advance and that all restrictions on the use of long-range weapons should be lifted to strengthen Ukraine's capabilities on the battlefield.

"I must also emphasize this, because the decision to provide Ukraine with Taurus cruise missiles is one of those elements that can significantly affect the situation on the battlefield," Sybiha said.

He pointed out that in combination with other systems, Taurus missile can really become a factor that fundamentally changes the situation on the battlefield.
