Defense forces shoots down 28 enemy UAVs out of 38, ten lost locally
Ukrainian defenders shot down 28 Shahed-type attack UAVs and other types of drones on the night of Tuesday, the Ukrainian Air Force reported on its Telegram channel.
"As of 09:00, the downing of 28 Shahed-type attack UAVs and other types of drones has been confirmed in Poltava, Sumy, Kharkiv, Cherkasy, Dnipropetrovsk, Mykolaiv, Kherson and Kirovohrad regions. No hits were recorded," the report says.
In addition, ten enemy drone imitators were lost to location (without negative consequences), and three of them flew in the direction of Russia.
As noted, on the night of January 7, 2025 (from 19.30 on January 6), the enemy attacked with 38 Shahed-type strike UAVs and various types of drone imitators from the directions of Millerovo, Kursk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk (Russia).
The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, mobile fire groups of the Air Force and the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
