French FM arrives in Kyiv – TV

French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot has arrived in Kyiv, the We Ukraine TV channel reported on Saturday morning.

He has already met with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha. Negotiations between the ministers have begun.

"We must first give Ukrainians the opportunity to negotiate whenever they want, from a position of strength. We must also prepare for peace. If the next peace summit creates conditions for inviting Russia - well, for my part, I will make every effort to ensure that Russia accepts another language - the language of international law, which we defend," the TV channel quoted Barrot as saying on Telegram.

A press conference of the ministers is expected.
