Kyiv city sees 25% rise in budget revenue in Jan-May 2017
Kyiv city in January-May 2017 saw a 25.2% rise in revenue year-over-year, to UAH 18.9 billion, First Deputy Head of Kyiv City Administration Hennadiy Plis said at a briefing on Monday.
"Thus, we have met 46.6% of the annual target [for 2017] and 107.8% of the five month target," Plis said, adding that it is planned to have UAH 40.6 billion of revenue this year.
He said that in January-May 2017, individual income tax payment grew by 32.7%, profit tax – by 23.2%, property tax – by 53.6% and land tax – by 6%.
Revenue grew thanks to sale of land parcels: it soared by 8.7 times. Revenue from receiving contributions from small architectural forms rose by 13.6% and fee from outdoor advertisement – by 1.8%.
Transport tax payment fell by 21.5% year-over-year, construction contributions – by 19% and revenue from selling property – by 50%.
Plis said that amendments to the city budget were made on May 25. Spending was increased by UAH 1.624 billion.
