Some UAH 1.052 bln allocated from budget for repair of roads in Kyiv - Klitschko
Kyiv authorities plan to carry out repair work on 400,000 square meters of roads worth UAH 1.052 billion by the end of summer, the head of Kyiv City State Administration, Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko has said, when inspecting the results of road overhauls in Shevchenko Avenue.
"Road traffic in summer will be limited due to repair work. And, I am sure, by autumn we will be able to complete repairs on 51 streets according to European standards. We need to repair 400,000 square meters of roads, if there are funds the area could be extended. We must use UAH 1.052 billion for road repairs in Kyiv by cold weather," Klitschko said.
According to him, Shevchenko Avenue, Holosiyevska Square and Cherkaska Street have been repaired by the Day of Kyiv.
It is also planned to repair Medova Street, Peremohy Avenue, Hlushkova Avenue, Pivdenny Bridge, Saperno-Slobidska Street, Moskovsky Bridge, Vasylkivska Street, Melnykova Street, Myropilska Street and others.
