Kyiv Zhuliany airport passenger traffic rises 1% in June
Kyiv Zhuliany International Airport in June 2015 saw passenger traffic increase by 1% compared to the same period in 2014, to 84,798 people.
The airport press service told Interfax-Ukraine that passenger traffic on international flights totaled 79,608 people, domestic flights numbered 5,190 passengers.
During the reporting period the airport served 1,268 international flights and 403 domestic flights.
"In July 2015, the airport plans to handle over 100,000 passengers, which will be higher than last year," the press service said.
The most popular international destinations in June 2015 were Moscow (Russia), Dubai (the UAE), Budapest (Hungary), and the most popular domestic destinations were Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhia, and Uzhgorod.
The most popular international destinations for tourists in June 2015 were Batumi and Tbilisi (Georgia), Tivat (Montenegro), and Burgas (Bulgaria).
"As of July 10, Motor Sich airlines will launch regular flights between Kyiv and Kherson," the airport said.
Kyiv Zhuliany International Airport is among the five largest airports in Ukraine in terms of passenger traffic.
