Kyivstar will start commercial operation of 3G network in Kyiv on June 16
JSC Kyivstar will launch the commercial operation of a 3G network in Kyiv and some cities in Kyiv region on June 16, according to a press release issued by the operator.
"By the day of commercial launch the 3G network in Kyiv and Kyiv region will operate in the current mode – with admittance for some subscribers. After starting the service mobile Internet will be charged according to the clients' tariff plans both in the 2G and 3G networks," reads the press release.
Subscribers will have access to new tariff plans which the operator announced in late May, and will be able to connect to an additional Internet package of 50 to 3,000 megabytes.
"The existing Kyivstar subscribers won't have to change sim cards," the company said.
