The Ukraine-Forward! Party has admitted it was defeated in Ukraine's parliamentary elections and is planning to form a new opposition in Ukraine, party leader Natalia Korolevska has said.

"Our new task is to form a new opposition in Ukraine," she said at a press conference at Interfax-Ukraine on Tuesday.

She said that the unanimity with which the opposition parties recognized the election results shows that there is no opposition in Ukraine. Korolevska said that the opposition "has currently exchanged its opposition for a deputy badge."

She also promised to "continue the construction of a new state modern Ukrainian party" and said that such famous people as footballer Andriy Shevchenko and actor Ostap Stupka would remain in the party.

Korolevska also said that the Ukraine-Forward! Party would draw lessons from its defeat in the parliamentary elections. She said that according to a parallel vote count conducted by Ukraine-Forward! representatives, the party had not overcome the 5% election threshold and collected 4.7% of the vote, but this result "was washed away" through manipulation.

She also said that her party observers had recorded in the elections "more than 3,000 violations, including over 1,000 serious violations."

According to the Central Election Commission, the Ukraine-Forward! Party took 1.58% of the vote, with 97.87% of ballots counted.
