Subpoenas against Opposition Party MPs Novinsky, Vilkul, Korolevska brought to conciliatory meeting in Rada - Lutsenko

Subpoenas against the Opposition Bloc MPs Vadym Novynsky, Oleksandr Vilkul and Natalia Korolevska were brought to a conciliatory meeting of the Verkhovna Rada on Monday, Petro Poroshenko Bloc leader Yuriy Lutsenko has said.

When asked who was summoned for questioning during the meeting, Lutsenko said "Novinsky, Vilkul and Korolevska. All three of them ignored the subpoenas, which were brought to their places of residence."

In turn, leader of the Radical Party Oleh Liashko said that an attempt was made to serve him a subpoena for questioning at the meeting.

"An investigator of the Prosecutor General's Office came to a meeting of the conciliatory council and with the permission of [Parliamentary Speaker Volodymyr] Groysman tried to hand out subpoenas against a number of MPs, including me," he said.

Liashko said that he is currently involved with the Supreme Administrative Court in connection with the case against his fellow party member Ihor Mosiychuk.

Head of the Main Investigation Department of the Interior Ministry Vasyl Smikh said he had only brought a subpoena for Novinsky. Groysman then replied that Novinsky was not present and asked the investigator to leave the room.
