Rosneft seeks to restart polypropylene shipments from Ukrainian refinery

Private joint-stock company LINIK (Luhansk region, part of Rosneft) has announced a tender to buy guarding services for railway cars with polypropylene to be shipped from Lysychansk oil refinery.

The company plans to ship 35,000 tonnes of polypropylene from July 1, 2016 through June 30, 2017. The information on the volumes is tentative and could be revised depending on the change of the production program.

Lysychansk oil refinery's total annual capacity is around 7 million tonnes of crude oil. The refinery can produce fuel meeting Euro-4 emission standard and diesel fuel meeting Euro-5 emission standard.

Oil supplies to Lysychansk oil refinery were suspended in March 2012 due to losses. Plans were made to repair the plant. The refinery belonged to TNK-BP, which Rosneft later acquired.

Rosneft had intended to launch Lysychansk oil refinery in summer 2014.
