Linik plans to resume polypropylene production in March - Tuka

PJSC Linik (Lysychansk oil refinery, Luhansk region) plans to resume production of polypropylene in March this year, the Informator regional edition has said, with reference to head of Luhansk regional military and civil administration Heorhiy Tuka.

"As soon as additional power supply is provided, and, according to our calculations, this is mid-March, one of the plants will immediately begin to work," reads a statement.

According to Tuka, local businessmen are interested in building a soda plant in Luhansk region.

"The only operating plant remained in Crimea. We have raw materials, but no production. There are private investors who want to build a plant," he said.

As reported, oil supplies to Lysychansk oil refinery stopped in March 2012 because of its unprofitability. The company is owned by Russia's state company Rosneft.
