The Individuals' Deposit Guarantee Fund has decided to appoint fund employee Oleksandr Kureny liquidator of Brokbusinessbank (Kyiv).

The appointment of the liquidator is stipulated in decision of the executive directorate of the fund No. 45 of June 11, 2014.

According to the fund, Kureny was appointed to the post for the period from June 11, 2014 to June 10, 2015.

According to the report, depositors of Brokbusinessbank from June 18 to July 29, 2014 can address departments of the agent bank of the fund – Raiffeisen Bank Aval (Kyiv) - to receive their funds. The guaranteed sum will be paid in line with the general register of depositors who have the right to receive deposit refunding.

As reported, the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) has decided to liquidate Brokbusinessbank from June 11, 2014.

Brokbusinessbank was founded in 1991. VETEK Group said it holds a 40% stake in the bank.

According to the bank, on January 1, 2014 Oleksandr Buriak owned 9.3961% of its shares, and Serhiy Buriak 9.3962%.

According to the National Bank of Ukraine, on January 1, 2014 Brokbusinessbank ranked 16th in terms of total assets (UAH 28.914 billion) among the 180 banks operating in Ukraine.
