Brokbusinessbank posts 44 times fall in net profit in 2012

The net profit of Kyiv-based Brokbusinessbank in 2012 came to UAH 518,000, which is 44.1 times down year-over-year (UAH 22.848 million), reads a quarterly report of the bank.

The report says that its net loss in Q4, 2012 came to UAH 2.215 million, a decline of 12.1% year-over-year (UAH 2.519 million).

The net interest-bearing income in 2012 came to UAH 73.408 million, while in 2011 its net interest-bearing income stood at UAH 198.748 million. In Q4, 2012, it totaled UAH 15.256 million, while in Q4, 2011 it amounted to UAH 8.43 million.

The total assets of the bank over the period were down by 10.6%, to UAH 16.928 billion, including a rise of 8.5% in credits and debts of clients, to UAH 13.869 billion. The report says that as of January 1, 2013, bank formed reserves for overdue credits at UAH 529.649 million, or 3.8% of their volume (5.7% as of early 2012).

The bank's net worth over the period rose by 20.2%, to UAH 2.919 billion, while charter capital grew by 24.3%, to UAH 2.524 billion.

Brokbusinessbank was founded in 1991. Its largest stockholders as of January 1, 2013, were Serhiy Buriak with 48.2497% and Oleksandr Buriak with 50.5688%.

The bank ranked 17th in terms of total assets worth UAH 17.599 billion among 175 Ukrainian banks as of October 1, 2012, according to the National Bank of Ukraine.
