Women, men rowing squads and fencers fail at Olympics
Ukrainian Women's Quadruple Sculls consisting of Daryna Verkhogliad, Olena Buriak, Anastasia Kozhenkova and Yevgenia Nimchenko were fourth at the Olympic Games in rowing.
They lost to squads from Germany, the Netherlands and Poland.
Men's quadruple sculls composed of Dmytro Mykhai, Artiom Morozov, Aleksandr Nadtoka and Ivan Dovhodko were sixth in the final race. Representatives of Germany won gold medal, silver medals went to Australia, bronze – to Estonia.
In addition, the women's epee fencer team was beaten in quarterfinal of the Olympic tournament by the Chinese team on Thursday.
