The Ukrainian team won silver in powerlifting and finishes the 2024 Paralympic Games with 82 medals, the Ministry of Youth and Sports reported on its Telegram channel on Sunday.
"Powerlifter Anton Kriukov put the silver point in the performance of Ukrainians at the XVII Summer Paralympic Games. In the weight category over 107 kg, the 36-year-old athlete from Mariupol took second place with a result of 251 kg," the report says.
It is noted that for Anton Kriukov, this was the third Paralympic Games and the first Paralympic medal won.
Overall, the Ministry sums up, the Ukrainian team will finish the 2024 Paris Paralympic Games with 82 medals (22, 28, and 32) in seventh place in the medal standings and in fifth place in the total number of awards.
The winner of the 2024 Paralympic Games medal standings was China, which finished the Games in Paris with 220 awards (94 gold).
