Ukraine's first medal at 2016 Olympics: Kulish wins silver in air rifle men's finals
Ukrainian athlete Serhiy Kulish has secured the first medal for Ukraine during the 2016 Olympic Games, having won the silver medal in the 10m Air Rifle Men's Finals on Monday.
He scored 204.6 points, being behind Italy's Niccolo Campriani with 206.1 points, who was a silver medal winner during the 2012 Olympics.
The third place is occupied by Russian athlete Vladimir Maslennikov with 184.2.
Ukraine's government will pay Ukrainian athletes $125,000 for a gold medal, $85,000 for a sliver medal, and $55,000 for a bronze medal.
