FC Metalist Kharkiv has signed a four-year contract with Argentine winger Alejandro Gomez and a one-year contract with Ukrainian midfielder Pavlo Ksionz, the club's press service has reported.
"I had offers from Inter, Fiorentina and Atletico Madrid, but Metalist was the most persistent club and won the fight for me, therefore I'm here," the press service quoted Gomez as saying.
Gomez started his career at Arsenal Sarandi, where he played for four years. Then he played for San Lorenzo (2009-2010) and Catania (2010-2013).
Ksionz played for Dynamo, CSKA, Zakarpattia, Ilichivets, Kharkiv and Oleksandriya. In March 2012, he signed a contract with Karpaty Lviv.
As reported, Metalist signed a four-year contract with Brazilian midfielder Diego Souza and let striker Jaja Coelho move on loan to Turkey's Kayserispor.
